( 100cm x 150cm, 2025 ) Sits with the weight of displacement and migration, and with the thin, everyday habits people still cling to when everything else is unstable. It shows a Nigerian migrant in Lebanon, staying in a shelter during the Israel–Lebanon conflict, paused in front of laundry on a line, a small domestic scene that also reads like normal life cut short.

True to Sinatra Zantout’s ongoing look at identity, stamina, and the work women carry without being seen, the painting turns a simple task, hanging clothes to dry, into a low-key marker of staying alive. The shelter, in this moment, isn’t only safety, it’s also doubt, a place that protects while never fully letting you settle.
